The second FORTRESS newsletter highlights the project’s continued progress, with a focus on the second plenary meeting held in Munich in February 2026, where partners deepened technical discussions, aligned on architectural choices, and addressed practical implementation challenges. It reflects growing momentum across work packages and a stronger link between research and real-world deployment, while also pointing to upcoming outreach efforts such as an introductory project video.
The edition further showcases external engagement, including a presentation at Comcast’s Cybersecurity Research Colloquium on hybrid post-quantum secure boot. It recognises ongoing research contributions, notably the acceptance of a paper on ML-DSA benchmarking at a leading cryptography workshop.
